The Bridge Between Your Design and the Wall

A file that looks perfect on a monitor doesn’t always translate directly to a 12-foot wall. Colors shift between screen and print. Resolution that’s fine at letter size falls apart at mural scale. Artwork designed for digital use may need rethinking for a physical surface. Our design and file prep service exists to bridge that gap — making sure what you see in the proof is what you get on the wall.

This isn’t a design agency bolt-on. It’s a technical service built specifically around the requirements of direct-to-wall printing. We understand the relationship between file resolution and viewing distance, between color profiles and ink output, between vector precision and wall texture. That knowledge informs every recommendation we make.

What We Cover

The scope of file prep varies by project. For some clients, it’s a quick resolution check and a color proof. For others, it’s scaling a logo from a business card to a 20-foot lobby wall, adjusting line weights and spacing so it reads correctly at that size. For photographic murals, it might involve color correction, cropping, and edge treatment to ensure the image works within the wall’s dimensions.

We also produce wall mockups — composite images showing your design on the actual wall, at scale, in context. These mockups are invaluable for getting stakeholder approval and for confirming that the design works in the space before any printing begins. Whether you’re planning a custom mural, a brand wall, or a residential feature wall, the mockup step removes guesswork.

Working With Your Team

If you have a designer, agency, or architect handling the creative, we work alongside them. We provide technical specifications — resolution requirements, color profiles, bleed and margin guidelines, file format preferences — so they can prepare files that are ready for our system. If questions come up during their process, we’re available for consultation.

If you don’t have a design team, we can handle the prep work directly. We’ll review what you have, tell you honestly what’s ready and what needs work, and handle the adjustments. The goal is always the same: a print-ready file that produces a beautiful result on the wall. Get a quote to start the conversation, or learn more about the overall process on our How It Works page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What file formats do you accept?

We work with AI, EPS, SVG, PDF, PSD, TIFF, and high-resolution JPEG/PNG files. Vector formats are preferred for logos and typography. For photographic or raster artwork, higher resolution is better — but we can advise on what's workable for your specific wall size and viewing distance.

My image is low resolution — can you still use it?

It depends on the final print size and viewing distance. A file that's too low-res for a close-up wall might work perfectly for a mural viewed from across a room. We'll evaluate your file honestly and let you know what's feasible.

Can you create original artwork for my project?

We can handle design adaptation, layout, and composition work. For fully original illustration or complex creative direction, we may recommend partnering with a designer or illustrator — and we're happy to collaborate with whoever you bring in.

How does color proofing work?

We produce a digital proof calibrated to our printing system's output. This shows you how colors will appear on the wall before we print. For brand-critical work, we can also produce a small physical test print on a sample surface.
