Yoga Studio Pattern Wall for Solstice Yoga
About This Project
Objective: Solstice Yoga wanted a feature wall in their practice room that created a sense of calm and intention without introducing visual clutter that could distract during classes.
Design Approach: We developed a minimal geometric pattern inspired by sacred geometry, printed in a tone-on-tone palette of warm white and soft sand that adds texture and warmth to the space.
Solstice Yoga is a boutique studio in Placentia that emphasizes mindful movement and intentional space design. The owner had renovated the practice room with new flooring, updated lighting, and a curated sound system, but the walls still felt unfinished. She wanted something that would elevate the room’s atmosphere without pulling attention away from the practice — a fine line that most wall treatments get wrong.
We proposed a tone-on-tone geometric pattern rooted in sacred geometry principles. Interlocking circles and soft angular forms repeat across the 30-foot wall in warm white printed over a sand-colored base. From across the room, the pattern reads as a subtle texture — almost like a woven fabric. Up close, the geometric precision becomes apparent, rewarding the kind of quiet attention that yoga cultivates. The palette was deliberately restrained: no contrast, no color, just light and form.
The effect on the room is significant despite the subtlety of the design. Instructors have noted that the space feels more grounded and intentional, and the owner reports that new members frequently comment on the studio’s atmosphere during their first visit. The wall also photographs beautifully in the soft, diffused lighting of the practice room, giving Solstice’s social media and class recordings a polished, cohesive look that reinforces the brand at every touchpoint.
