Luxury Home Nursery Mural for Private Residence

About This Project

Objective: A homeowner in North Tustin wanted a one-of-a-kind nursery mural that felt timeless and sophisticated — something that would grow with their child rather than need replacing in two years.

Design Approach: We created a soft watercolor-style landscape of rolling hills, gentle clouds, and scattered wildflowers in a muted palette of sage, lavender, and warm cream that complements the room's natural wood furnishings.

When a North Tustin couple began designing the nursery for their first child, they knew they didn’t want the typical peel-and-stick decals or themed wallpaper that would feel dated within a year. They had invested in quality furniture and a thoughtful color palette for the room, and they wanted the feature wall to match that level of intention. Their interior designer connected them with Wall Screen Printing to explore what was possible with direct-to-wall printing.

We developed a mural concept inspired by the rolling hills visible from the home’s backyard — a soft, dreamlike landscape that feels hand-painted but is rendered with the precision and durability of our printing process. The palette was carefully calibrated to the room’s existing tones: sage greens that echo the linen curtains, touches of lavender that pick up the accent pillows, and a warm cream base that blends seamlessly into the adjacent walls. The composition wraps gently around the corner of the room, creating an immersive effect without overwhelming the space.

The result is a nursery that feels curated and personal rather than decorated. Because the print is bonded directly to the wall, there are no seams to peel, no edges to catch tiny fingers, and no off-gassing concerns that come with some adhesive products. The homeowner’s designer has since featured the room in her portfolio, and it’s become one of our most-requested reference projects for residential clients looking to move beyond conventional wall treatments.
