Coworking Brand Wall for CommonGround Workspace

About This Project

Objective: CommonGround Workspace needed a bold brand wall in their main lounge that reinforced their identity and gave members a professional backdrop for content creation and video calls.

Design Approach: We printed an oversized logo lockup paired with the brand's tagline in a clean sans-serif, set against a deep charcoal field with a subtle geometric texture that adds visual interest without competing with the mark.

CommonGround Workspace operates a modern coworking space in downtown Brea that caters to freelancers, remote workers, and small teams. The space is well-designed — clean lines, good lighting, comfortable furniture — but the main lounge lacked a visual anchor. Members would hop on video calls with a pleasant but generic background, and the space’s marketing photography didn’t have a signature element that immediately communicated the CommonGround brand.

We designed a brand wall that solves both problems at once. The CommonGround logo is printed at six feet wide in crisp white against a deep charcoal background, with the tagline set below in a lighter weight of the same typeface. The background isn’t flat — we incorporated a subtle geometric pattern that’s only visible up close, giving the wall texture and depth in person while reading as a clean, solid backdrop on camera. The entire composition is balanced to work whether someone is standing in front of it for a photo or sitting at a desk with the wall visible over their shoulder.

The installation was timed to coincide with CommonGround’s one-year anniversary event, giving the space a refreshed feel for the celebration. Since then, the wall has appeared in countless member posts, the company’s own marketing materials, and even a feature in a local business journal about the rise of coworking in Orange County. It’s a straightforward project that delivers compounding returns every time someone takes a photo.
