Boutique Retail Accent Wall for Maison Collective
About This Project
Objective: Maison Collective wanted a signature accent wall in their fitting room area that elevated the shopping experience and encouraged social sharing.
Design Approach: We created a custom repeating botanical pattern in blush and gold tones, printed directly onto the wall to create a seamless, wallpaper-like finish without seams or peeling.
Maison Collective is a women’s clothing boutique in downtown Fullerton with a loyal local following and a growing Instagram presence. The owner recognized that the fitting room experience was an untapped branding opportunity — the one place where every customer pauses, looks in the mirror, and often reaches for their phone. She wanted that moment to feel special.
We developed a custom botanical pattern inspired by the boutique’s existing brand palette. Delicate line-drawn florals repeat across the wall in a warm blush tone, accented with metallic gold details that catch the light from the fitting room fixtures. Because the design is printed directly onto the drywall, there are no visible seams, no edges lifting over time, and no bubbling from humidity — common problems with traditional wallpaper in high-traffic retail spaces.
The wall went live on a Thursday and by Saturday the boutique had been tagged in over forty fitting room selfies. Maison Collective now features the wall prominently in their own content and has reported that customers specifically mention the space when leaving reviews. What started as an accent wall became one of the store’s most effective marketing assets.
